Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work on WarmStars. It supplements our Terms of Service. In short: you can cancel any time, paid plans are billed in advance and are not refundable, and we fix genuine billing errors.
1. How billing works
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring cycle (monthly or annual) and renew automatically until you cancel. The price and monthly scan quota for each plan are shown on the pricing page and in your billing settings. We may change pricing with notice before your next renewal.
2. Try before you pay
Every account starts on the Free plan: two scans a month, no card required. We recommend using it to confirm WarmStars fits your needs before you upgrade, because paid plans are non-refundable (see section 4).
3. Cancelling
You can cancel any time from your billing settings, which open the customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep that plan’s features and any remaining scan quota until then. Unused scans do not roll over.
4. Refunds
Payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods and for scan quota you did not use. When you cancel you are simply not charged again; we do not refund the current period. We keep this simple and predictable, and the Free plan lets you evaluate the product before you pay.
5. Billing errors
If you were charged in error, for example a duplicate charge or a renewal that billed after you had already cancelled, contact us and we will investigate and correct it, including a refund where a charge was genuinely a mistake. This is separate from the general no-refund position in section 4.
6. Changing plans
You can upgrade or downgrade any time from your billing settings. Plan changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
7. Payment disputes
If something looks wrong on your bill, please email us first at hello@warmstars.com before opening a dispute with your bank. We would rather fix it directly and quickly. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
